 Counselling with Hannah

Do you find life overwhelming and feel misunderstood or dismissed? Are you looking for someone to listen without judgement? I offer a safe and confidential space, where you're truly heard and believed. I work to help you see things in new ways and identify patterns or cycles in your life.

My emphasis is on authentic connection with you, with respect for your history, identity and values. In working collaboration we examine your past reflections, present experience and future aims.

Based in the heart of St Albans, I'm Hannah Padden, a neurodivergent counsellor working both in-person and online. Your sessions run at your own pace, with no pressure and with regard for your boundaries at all times.

About Me
Hannah Padden St Albans based Counsellor and Psychotherapist specialising in Neurodiversity Autism and ADHD

About me

While I specialise in neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD and AuDHD, I also have experience with domestic abuse from my work at Watford Women's Centre. I have a diploma in counselling & psychotherapy, working with a humanistic approach. Humanistic therapy focuses on self-discovery, self-acceptance & personal growth. I'm a member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists.

My background is in arts management and I've been the director of an arts company for over a decade, so I understand how the responsibility of balancing work and family can impact wellbeing. My personal loves are musical theatre, poetry old and new, non-fiction, podcasts, 80s movies, dog walking and reformer pilates.

Getting Help

Getting help

Being neurodivergent, or raising neurodivergent children, can be lonely and isolating at times. From first-hand experience of chronic burnout, overwhelm and sensory overload, I'm familiar with how impossible it can feel to know where to turn or how to make changes, when things already feel too much. At these times counselling with a neuro-affirming therapist can be a game changer.

Get in touch for a free consultation today to discuss working together and getting you the support you need to thrive, not just survive.

I offer 50 minute 1:1 in-person or online sessions to help you with challenges including:

Overwhelm

Neurodiversity

Anxiety

Burnout

Trauma

Contact
Until I reached out to Hannah I felt like no one was hearing me. Outwardly I looked like I had my life together, so people assumed I felt as successful as I looked. To finally find someone who witnessed and validated the intensity of my inner struggles has been life-changing.
